Brian Auger – geliebt und gefeiert von Herbie Hancock bis Mose Allison, von den Brand New Heavies bis zu den Beastie Boys. Seine Songs wurden von Künstlern wie Mos Def, Common, Air und Kid Loco gesampelt, seine Kompositionen von Sarah Vaughan, Richard ‚Groove‘ Holmes und The Main Ingredient gecovert.
Auger war ein preisgekröntes Wunderkind am Jazz-Piano, eine Ikone im Swinging London der 1960er Jahre, ein früher Vertreter des Fusion Jazz, der Godfather des Acid Jazz und ist seit 2014 Mitglied in der Hammond Organ Hall of Fame.
Die Anthology-Tour ‚Back To The Beginning’ vereint über 50 Jahre von Brian Augers Grammy-gekröntem Schaffen. Die Auswahl reicht von seinem beliebten Jazz-Piano-Trio über klassische Songs und Geheimfavoriten von Julie Driscoll & The Trinity und The Oblivion Express, seinem bahnbrechenden Jazz-Fusion-Projekt aus den 1970ern, bis zu seltenen Aufnahmen und Material aus seinem kommenden letzten Album „Live in Los Angeles“ mit Alex Ligertwood, dem originalen Sänger von Oblivion Express (und später Sänger von Santana).
